Before the Fade For Woodwind Quintet (5:23)

Before the Fade is a journey throughout what I can only imagine is the flashback of life before death. All the bright moments contrasted by the dull and dissonant that each individual experiences through life are all brought out in this quintet. It was written to explore life and that raw human emotion that is so hard to capture through art. The beauty of this piece comes from the unique sound of a wind quintet, all the woodwind sounds blending together like an organ with the uniqueness of the French horn adds a silky layer of complexity to the overall sound of the ensemble.
