Where One Falters
Where One Falters
Where One Falters For Wind Ensemble
Where One Falters is apiece that is written around the rejection of a personal identity. That somber feelings of aloneness and knowing the worth of what gets carried with an individual. This piece was inspired by an older composition of mine, Cherries on a Full Moons’ Night. I have rejected that piece from my repertoire, knowing its worth as I grew as a composer. Upon revisiting that piece for my good friend Jacob Kessler, who commissioned me for this piece, I then realized its meaning. Having this piece be inspired by my first piece, in which Kessler programed it whilst I was still in high school, is the significant story line behind this piece;Embracing what came before and moving forward into the beauty of growth and acceptance.
